Primary Purpose:                               To assist in the operations of student transportation so the students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district’s curriculum and extracurricular program.

                       

Qualifications:                                              

 

Education/Certification:        High School Diploma or GED

 

Experience/Knowledge:        Valid Texas Driving License Class C

 

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties: 

 

  1. Maintain records in accordance with federal, state, and local procedures.

 

  1. Process biweekly payroll for hourly employees and maintain records accordingly.

 

  1. Process monthly payroll for office employees and maintain records accordingly.

 

  1. Coordinate computerized time clock procedures and enter employee data such as leaves

and absences into system for electric submission to payroll department.

 

  1. Maintain an accurate listing of employee leaves in regards to worker’s compensation and the Family Medical Leave Act.

 

  1. Maintain employee files, which include but are not limited to employee data and time sheets.

 

  1. Coordinate the maintenance of time clocks as needed.

 

  1. Adhere to safety regulations corresponding with Transportation Department.

           

  1. Answer telephone and take messages for the Transportation Department.

 

  1. Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Reading, ability to work in rapid manner, ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written), ability to operate computer.  Ability to meet established deadlines.  Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records.  Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.

 

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Standing, walking, pushing, and pulling, some stooping, bending, and climbing stairs and repetitive hand motions.
